چنیوٹ کی دلچسپ تاریخ

 چنیوٹ کی ثقافت پنجاب کی ثقافت جیسی ہے۔ چنیوٹ کی موجودہ آبادی تقریباً 0.5 ملین ہے۔ تقریباً 40 فیصد آبادی شہر میں رہتی ہے جبکہ باقی دیہات میں رہتے ہیں۔ چنیوٹ شہر کو پندرہ سے کم محلوں میں تقسیم کیا گیا ہے اور مشہور محلے راجے والی، قاضیاں، عالی، حسین آباد، عثمان آباد وغیرہ ہیں۔ مختلف محلوں میں مختلف ذاتوں کے لوگ رہتے ہیں۔ جہاں تک مذہبی مکتبہ فکر کا تعلق ہے تقریباً 35% سے 40% آبادی کا تعلق فقہ جعفریہ سے ہے اور اسی فیصد آبادی کو مختلف مکاتب فکر میں تقسیم کیا گیا ہے۔ ایک جگہ جسے چناب نگر کہا جاتا ہے جسے ربوہ بھی کہا جاتا ہے احمدی مکتبہ فکر کا غلبہ ہے۔ احمدی لوگ مرزا غلام احمد قادیانی کے پیروکار ہیں۔ اس گروہ سے تعلق رکھنے والے افراد کو پاکستان کے آئین 1973 میں غیر مسلم قرار دیا گیا تھا۔

River Chenab Chiniot

Chiniot  Bridge (also known as Rabwah Bridge) is located at 4.6 km from Khatam-e-Nabuwat Chowk. Chiniot Bridge is an ancient beautiful bridge that is made of iron. Road runs over the top of railway track. The bridge connects Chiniot with Chenab Nagar (old name Rabwa), passing over the Chenab river. Old bridge for road was very narrow. A new bridge is just constructed on the side of old iron bridge. The hill in the middle of the river partitioned the river and made it easy to construct the bridge in two parts. East channel has 6 spans of 40 meter length while west channel has 7 spans of the same length.  

Chiniot District (Punjabi and Urdu: ضلع چنيوٹ), is a district in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It became the district in July 2009.[2] Before this, it was a tehsil of Jhang District.
